WORKSHOP PORTFOLIO
Over my years of making, I’ve acquired a considerable amount of knowledge about many aspects of the metal and jewellery making worlds. I’m firmly of the belief that creativity, learning something new and working with your hands is wonderful for you. It’s good for the soul, even if it’s not something you usually do, especially if it’s something you’ve never done.
I insist on delivering my best, with the finest quality equipment I can find, helping to design and make something specifically for you, to provide plenty of guidance throughout the process, keep very small groups of 1 or 2, sometimes 3 to 4 (unless requested otherwise) to allow for the aforementioned guidance and a couple of bonus treats that you’ll have to pop along to discover!

Ring Carving
The original Metalsmith workshop. Using an ancient technique, you’ll learn how to craft a piece that will last a lifetime. Join this creative experience to shape a piece of wax that will become a piece of silver.
Wedding Ring Workshops
There is something exquisite about a handcrafted wedding ring. The only way to make it even more special? For you and your partner to be guided through the process and getting to make the rings yourselves.
Copper Bowl Making
In this simple workshop, transform a simple disc of copper into a vessel fit for use. Whilst this may not be the most intense of workshops, it will provide you with an even deeper appreciation of ‘craft’.
Bespoke Workshops
A workshop designed specifically for you. Get in touch with Emily to discuss the early stages: a budget and to find an hour in your week for a design consultation. Design a piece, or series of pieces, before having a bespoke workshop crafted especially for you.
A Trio of Earrings
A round pair, a long pair and a flat pair. A compact workshop experience designed to send you away with a series of pieces having learnt a series of techniques. A gold option is also available.
Christmas Workshops
Celebrating the festive season with a little contemporary craft. Learn a selection of new techniques to create seasonal earrings and decorations. These workshops only come round once a year so make sure to sign up.
Introduction to Jewellery
In this six week course, learn all that you need to know to embark on your jewellery and metalwork journey. Using copper and silver, you’ll learn to make a variety of pieces.
Creative Cohort: Jewellery Club
An opportunity to practise the skills you’ve learnt at a Metalsmith Workshop or Course. Join Emily once a month in a Jewellery Club session to complete your own projects with her guidance and full use of the workshop equipment.
